Government of India has launched Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission which aims to imitate steps to bring about improvement in the existing service levels in a financially sustainable manner.  In connection with this it was decided to launch JnNURM low floor buses in Kerala in cities Trivandrum and Kochi.  Hon'ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri.V.S.Achuthanandan inaugurated the launching of hygienic low floor AC bus in Trivandrum on 17th November 2009 at Central Stadium, Trivandrum.
